Description
There are two fangs attached to a partial jaw bone and another individual fang also attached to some bone. The teeth are from anEnchodus
and are still in their original matrix of phosphate. The matrix contains several fragments of unidentified bone.
The specimen was found in the Khouribga mines in Morocco.
Enchodus
was a large, bony predatory Cretaceous fish with 'fangs' at the front of its upper and lower jaws.
The entire piece is 5.8 by 3.6 by 1.99 inches.
