Original B-29 (Daves’s Dream) Carried During the Operation Crossroads First Post-WWII Atomic Bomb Test Envelope . Original signatures- Signed by the entire B-29 crew and certified and signed by the B-29 plane commander. Signatures include Manhattan Project weaponeer Leon Smith, who was also on the backup mission to Enola Gay‘s in the B-29 Big Stink on Iwo Jima along with my uncle, on that mission if Enola Gay developed engine trouble Ray’s task was to transfer the bomb to Big Stink to complete the mission.Extremely Rare this is a museum quality historic item. size 6-1/2” x 3-1/2 “ This envelope was sent by my uncle to my grandparents. I’ve included in thi listing for informational purposes only a photo of a very rare Kwajalein published newspaper that detailed the selection of this B-39 crew.
