    Hello, here is a nice and natural Knightia Eocaena Fish fossil with very well preserved SCALES in its 50 Million Year Old Green River Formation Matrix! This fossil was quarried in an extinct lake that is known as Fossil Lake in Lincoln County, Wyoming. This fish dates from the Eocene epoch a CRAZY 53.5 to 48.5 Million YEARS ago!
    Here's More Info....Fifty-million years ago an ancient Lake existed in what is now Southwest Wyoming, US. The unusual chemistry of the lake created conditions that prevented decay while alternating layers of limestone and organic matter accumulated. The resulting laminated limestone LAYERS contain the highest concentration of articulated fish fossils in the world....neat!
    This fish fossil measures around 11.9cm or 4.75" at its biggest or from its nose to its tail and the overall piece or matrix is 17.6cm or 6 7/8" at its biggest or from side to side. Please note that a display STAND is included.
